CTA Red/Green/Orange Lines to Roosevelt Station — 10-minute walk to Soldier Field along the lakefront. The most scenic stadium walk on the entire tour. CTA also runs express buses to the stadium on major event days. $2.50 per ride. This is the move — parking near Soldier Field is limited and expensive.

Pre-purchase at soldierfield.net. Multiple lots surrounding Soldier Field near the lakefront. Lots fill fast for major concerts. Expect $40–$60 pre-purchase, higher day-of. Museum Campus Garage is a popular option. Free parking available farther north along Lake Shore Drive (longer walk).

Designated rideshare zones at the Museum Campus. Post-show: Lake Shore Drive northbound gets heavy — walk toward Michigan Avenue (15–20 min) before requesting pickup for faster service and lower pricing. Or take CTA back — trains run late on event nights.

August in Chicago averages 78–88°F with lake breezes cooling the evening. Soldier Field is an open-air stadium on the lakefront — the lake breeze can make evenings feel 10–15 degrees cooler than inland. A light layer for later in the evening is smart.

CTA is genuinely the best option here — the lakefront walk from Roosevelt Station is 10 minutes of pure Chicago summer at night. Arrive early to walk the museum campus grounds before the show. Post-show the lake breeze makes the walk back even better.
